Brief Bio
Michael J. Svigel (ThM, PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary) is department chair and professor of theological studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, hwere he teaches graduate and doctoral courses in both systematic theology and church history. He has written, coauthored, or edited numerous books from science-fiction novels to academic monographs.
Long Bio
Besides teaching both historical and systematic theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Michael J. Svigel is actively engaged in teaching and writing for a broader Christian audience.
His passion for a Christ-centered theology and life is coupled with a penchant for humor, music, and writing. Dr. Svigel began teaching fulltime at Dallas Seminary after working for several years in the legal field as well as serving as a writer with the ministry of Insight for Living.
His books and articles range from text-critical studies to popular theology to science-fiction and fantasy novels. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three adult children, Sophie, Lucas, and Nathan.
